Almost 1 in 6 couples face infertility through study analysis. The data was based on surveys of 7600 women including 288 who were currently trying to get pregnant. The study was conducted by Germaine Buck Louis from the National Institutes of Health in Rockville, Maryland.
It was reported by Dr. John Collins, a professor at McMaster University in Hamilton, Ontario that rates of infertility in Canada rose from 8.5 percent in 1992 to 15 percent in 2009-2010.
Dr. Sacha Krieg from the University of Kansas Medical Center in Kansas City stated that infertility may indeed by on the raise due to women now waiting to have children and/or the environmental toxins and their side effects.
It is suggested the after a year of trying to conceive, a woman should be checked by a doctor. For those women over age 35, they should visit a doctor after six months of trying to conceive a child.
20% of couples have unexplained infertility.
The link below is various studies/clinical trials that are open/completed. You can click on the name/type of study and it will pull up the information re: that clinical
