What is Infertility?
Infertility is defined as the inability to conceive or carry a pregnancy to term after 12 months of trying to conceive. If you are over the age of thirty five, the time of trying to conceive is reduced to six months. Furthermore, women who may get pregnant but may miscarriage may also be considered infertile.
Infertility is a common problem. About 10 percent of women (6.1 women) in the United States ages 15-44 have difficulty getting pregnant or staying pregnant, according to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC).
Both women and men can have problem which cause infertility. About 1/3 of infertility cases are caused by women's issues. Another 1/3 of fertility problems are due to the man. The other causes are a mixture of male and female problems or unknown problems.

How Does Age Affect A Woman's Ability to Have Children?

So, the age is a growing cause of fertility problems. About 1/3 of couples in which the woman is over thirty five have fertility problems.
Aging decreases a women's chance(s) of having a child in the following way(s):
-her ovaries become less able to release eggs
-she has a smaller number of eggs left
-her eggs are not as healthy
-she is more likely to have health conditions that can cause fertility issues
-she is more likely to miscarriage
